I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor who provides psychotherapy to individuals, couples and families. I view therapy as a collaborative journey where developing a safe and trusting relationship is key. Together we will explore feelings, thoughts and experiences which lie beneath the surface and have created anxiety, fear and barriers to happiness and connection in your life. In therapy I seek to create a safe space to open up conversations which help my clients gain self-awareness, reduce negative symptoms, improve coping skills, express their feelings, promote self -empowerment , change unhealthy patterns, heal early childhood wounds, learn to connect genuinely with others, and ultimately improve their quality of life.
My experience is with a wide range of range of concerns but I specialize in the following areas; trauma recovery, survivors of Interpersonal and sexual violence, issues of identity development, including sexual orientation and gender development, improving sexual health, chronic healthcare concerns, processing Grief and Loss , Multicultural and women’s struggles, Family of origin issues, and self-esteem and body image work.
